San Antonio, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Tony Parker scored 26 points and Tim Duncan posted his third straight double-double to help the San Antonio Spurs get back in the win column with a 125-118 decision over the Los Angeles Clippers. Duncan went for 21 points and 12 rebounds, Boris Diaw added a season-high 23 points off the bench and Manu Ginobili scored 19 with 10 assists for the Spurs, losers of an unlikely four straight games before this win. The Spurs assisted on 37 of their 49 baskets and shot a season-high 63.6 percent from the field. Chris Paul scored 25 points and Blake Griffin had 22 in LAs fourth straight road loss. The Clippers were up by eight early on following DeAndre Jordans layup, but lost their lead late in the first quarter and never led again. They did, however, make things interesting. Despite trailing by as many as 17 points, the Clips pulled even at 102 on Jamal Crawfords jumper with 8:17 left in the fourth. They then had two possessions to try to go in front, but Glen Davis missed a jumper and Jordan was whistled for a charge. Parker put the Spurs up for good with a 3-pointer from the left wing. Danny Green hit two treys after that and Duncan converted a three-point play to seemingly put the game away, but Diaw missed two free throws and Ginobili split a pair in the final 30 seconds to give the Clippers life. They failed to capitalize. Paul missed two 3-pointers at the other end and Green put the game away with two from the stripe. Marco Belinelli hit from deep and Diaw canned a pair of 3s during a 9-2 run late in the first quarter that gave the Spurs a 35-33 lead through one. The Clippers kept things close until seven straight from the Spurs pushed their lead to 62-49 3:57 before halftime. San Antonios best scoring half of the season ended when Ginobilis runner made it 72-60 at the break. Green and Kyle Anderson hit 3s around a Griffin free throw that made it 78-61 early in the second half. But just when the hosts appeared to be in complete control, the Clippers made their push. They shot 60 percent in the period, which it closed on a prolonged 29-17 run to pull back within five.
